Parts Department Specialist

Job Description

The Parts Department Specialist manages the parts department by following the associated processes and procedures for this department.  This position oversees daily activity by monitoring the job board, checking on part prices and warranty status, calling customers for payment, placing orders, and scheduling parts department drivers and service technicians.  Will also answer questions and concerns from team and assist in resolving customer concerns or issues.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time well; proven ability to multi-task.
  • High level of problem solving skills.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, and reach with hands and arms.  This position involves long periods of sitting and using a computer and phone.

Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.  Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Schedule & Travel

This is a full-time position; the schedule is Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm.

No travel is required for this position.

Required Experience

  • Must have some experience in inventory, ordering, tracking and inventory management.
  • Ability to manage high-volume emails via Outlook. Must be knowledgeable of email etiquette and be able to draft emails in compliance with existing policy.
  • Moderate computer skills required. QuickBooks experience is a preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required if applicant has adequate customer service experience.
